Coloring With Chalks

Hi everyone. Vera's here today. Happy 4th of July and hope you have a great celebration.

I'll be spending my day crafting away, but I want to share this card that I made using flowers from For Every Woman set and sentiment from Hugs Your Way stamp.

As much as I love using my Copic markers, I also love using chalks to color my images. Especially when I want to achieve a soft tone. Like on this card, I colored the flower image using chalks. I simply used a small cotton ball and in circular motion rubbed in the chalks. For small area like the flower center, a Q-tip works best. To keep the outline clean, once your finish coloring with the chalks, simply erase the extra coloring using a soft eraser.

For the sentiment, if you look at the actual  the sentiment, it is much longer. But, I cut the sentiment apart and this way, I get to expand the versatility of this stamp.

Hope this will inspire you to try coloring with chalks. Thank you so much for stopping by here and have a safe Independence Day!
