This layout is of me with some of my bestest friends! I visited them last year on my Colorado trip. Here's the full layout:
All the patterned papers & the majority of the elements I used came from the So Happy Together Collection Kit, which was included in the June SP Monthly Kit.
Along with kit supplies, I also added in some vintage heart netting I got from our lovely friends at MarkerPop. MarkerPop also caries our SP and Company Stamps :)
And I added some pink Washi Tape:
And last but certainly not least, I used and oldie but goody stamp set Stitchery Doo! This is one of my favorite stamp sets because I don't like to do real sewing (so tedious trying to get out the machine and hand stitching is even more of a pain). With the Stitchery Doo stamp set, stitching is SO EASY. Ink, Stamp, Done!!
The straight stitch stamps are a little over 5.5inches long, but as you can see, I only needed a couple of inches worth of stitches, so let me tell you my little secret. I eyeballed how much stitching I would need by just holding the stamp over the part I wanted to have stitching on. Then I stuck only that amount of the stitch stamp onto an acrylic block. The rest of the stamp was hanging down so I just wrapped it around the the side and top of the block!! Genius, huh?? LOL!
Well, the stamp and block looked kind of odd, but it was easy from that point to just ink up the part of the stamp I wanted. Then I was left with stitches exactly where I needed them!!
I created these cute little word banners using the Mix 'n Match Sentiments: Kids stamp set & patterned paper. They came out super cute. This stamp set was also included in the June SP Monthly Kit.
I also used one of the corner stitch stamps from the Stitchery Doo set.
I've got one final tip for you. If you are a scrapbooker and need some additional inspiration for creating your layouts, there are some fabulous sketches out there to help you get your idea rolling. I based my project from today off of Sketch#213 I found at Creative Scrappers. It's amazing how you can gain inspiration from a sketch and still come up with something that is totally your own & totally unique. There are also plenty of card sketches out there as well so use those as jumping off points if you ever need some extra inspiration.
That's all for today. See you next week!
