Rainbow Color Sentiment

Vera here today! Some of my favorite stamps from SP & Company are their sentiment stamps. Have you really looked at their sentiment stamp sets? Not only does it come with various sentiments that would fit for so many different occasions, but the style of the sentiments is pretty fabulous as well.

That's what I want to highlight on my card today. For my card below, I am using one of the sentiments from the Sympathy & Care Stamp Set. Love the mix of standard type of font with the cursive one.

For the background, I used Spellbinders M-Bossabilities. So Trendy. I layered it with an aqua color cardstock and adhered to the front of the card. Then I cut a strip of cardstock for the sentiment. To achieve this rainbow color sentiment, I first (carefully) dabbed the sentiment on a gray inkpad. One of the benefits of working with acrylic stamps is that you can see exactly where you dab the color!

Once that was done, I colored the letters on the sentiment using stamp markers and blew on the whole sentiment to get the ink moist and then I stamped the sentiment. I finished off the card by adding a ready-made dragonfly sticker.

This technique would also be great to highlight certain word on a sentiment. I think I will take my stamping markers out more often now. :)

I hope you enjoyed your visit here and thank you so much for stopping by.
