Happy Day Mini

Hello everyone, it's Michelle here today with a cool mini card for you!  I was very excited to do something for our mini card week, here at SP & Co.  Mini cards are one of my favorite things to make.  They are just so cute and fun!

One of my favorite ways to make mini cards is by using my Spellbinders dies.  There are so many cool shapes and they make fantastic mini cards!

For this card, I used Labels 22 from Spellbinders to make the card base.  The star patterned paper is from Birthday Boy Mini Collection (Echo Park)  I love the rounded ends on this one, and the flat ends allow your card to stand up nicely.  I used one of the smaller dies in the set and embossed it right in the middle to add a little bit of texture and dimension.

To make the centerpiece for my card I stamped Even Bolder Sentiments: Happy Day in black ink, on a small piece of Kraft cardstock, then rounded all four corners with my corner rounder punch.  I stamped the little bird from Easter Eggy on a piece of yellow patterned paper from Splash Collection Kit (Echo Park), trimmed him out and attached him by my sentiment.

To finish it off I tied a bit of Aqua Divine Twine in a bow around the top.

Happy Stampin',

Michelle
