Hello everyone, it's Michelle here today with a really fun card for you! I love using patterned papers on my projects. So many different colors, designs, themes, etc., and they just add instant pizazz without you having to do a lot. Simple always = good! There are so many great papers out there right now and you can find some really cool elements for your cards that really pack a punch.
So, in this card I used Birthday Boy Collection - Journaling Paper - that is where the "we eat:" list came from, and also the red strip with the white dots. The banner came from Birthday Boy Collection - Banner Papers - I just trimmed out a small bit of banner and adhered it across my card. The yellow half circle on the left side of the card is from Splash (Echo Park).
I distressed the edges of the red /white dots strip, which just makes it stand out a little more in the mix. I stamped Even Bolder Sentiments - Happy Day in green ink on some white cardstock, which I then cut out using a Nestabilities die. Popped it up on some dimensional dots just to make it pop a little bit. To finish it off I used a brown marker to put the check marks in the boxes on the list.
How fun is that? So festive, and super simple thanks to some great patterned papers!
