Zipper-pull Card

Hey all, it's Jen today. This weekend I had a lot of comments/emails about the card I made for the March release blog hop, so I wanted to give you all a quick tutorial!

Here's what you need:

  • Card Base
  • Banner cut from the February SP and Co kit
  • Mustache Madness stamp set
  • Zipper card panel

**A note about the zipper card panel**
You have a few options.  There are dies available online for purchase.  I have also done this technique by cutting perforations into my card with an Xacto knife, or by sewing perforations with an unthreaded sewing machine.   Another option is to use a piercing tool to make the perforations.  Or, you could just do what I did and use an SVG.
Once you have your zipper panel, stamp with "I mustache you a question..."  Lay onto your card base, and make marking where the zipper will be pulled with a pencil, so you know where to stamp the "surprise" sentiment.

Here's the message stamped out:

Place adhesive onto the zipper panel, making sure to apply liberally on either side of the pull tab.  You don't want the card falling apart when the recipient pulls the zipper.

Now decorate your card!

Here's what you get when you pull the tab:

Fun, huh? Thanks for visiting!
