Folding a Z-fold card

Hi, Amber here today to show you how to score and fold a z-fold card.

Start by cutting down a 12x12 sheet of cardstock into 5 1/2" x 12". Then score at the 2", 4", 8" and 10" marks
.

Fold and crease so that your card looks like this from the top (sorry, didn't snap a pic before I decorated). You'll fold in the 4" and 8" marks and fold back the 2" and 10" marks so it looks like you have a Z at the left and a backwards Z on the right side. Make sense?

Then to decorate I grabbed my 6x6 pad of MME Away We Go and used 3 different sheets. I cut blocks of 1 3/4" x 5 1/4" for the front panels. The inside paper was cut at 3 3/4" x 5 1/4". Oh, the front also has a 1 1/2" x 1 3/4" block towards the bottom as well. My sentiment is stamped from the Bold Sentiments I set, one of my all-time faves!!

I made sure to use a non-busy pattern on the inside so there is plenty of room to write to the recipient.

To close the card ribbon is glued to the back of the card using a tape runner so that it won't fall off. Simply tie a bow to close it up. Then the recipient gets to untie it like a little present!
There you have an easy way to make a card that will impress everyone!
