Protect Your Backs!

Hi everyone!! Samantha here. Today, I want to show you a quick trick so you can protect the backs of your cards from unwanted ink!

When stamping your own background onto the front of a card, I am always left with part of the background being stamped onto the back of my card. I hate that!!

Well I found a quick and easy solution for protecting the back of the card, Post-It notes! I just attached two notes to cover the back of the card.

If you have ever done any masking before, you will know that you have to have a thin piece or paper or film as your mask or else your stamped images don't come out crisp when stamping over the edge of the mask. Well, with Post-It notes, the stamped image is clear because these notes are so thin!!

I used an oldie but goodie stamp set along with one of our NEW stamp sets for my project: Candy Hearts and Swirly Doo Valentines.  These two sets just coordinate so beautifully together.
The pink hearts on the background were colored in with Copic RV11. The turquoise hearts were colored in with BG02.  The red heart was cut from read cardstock.

For the sentiment banner, I stamped the swirly doo, and the sentiments. Then I cut along the straight lines, removing the shape on one side of the line. Then I was left with this cute little banner after I cut out a small triangle from one end.

To finish off the card, I just added a pretty bow using satin ribbon.

Vicki has not one, but TWO simply fantastic cards to share with you today!

Jen has a gorgeous card for you today - you just can't miss it!
