Here's what you need:
Balsa Wood
Ink
Stamp (I went with a stamp from the Pretty Pendants set)
X-acto Knife
Start by stamping out your design. The wood will soak up a bit of the ink, so don't expect a perfectly crisp image. If you wanted a crisp image, I would suggest covering the wood with a clear coating first, like a spray sealer. (I've never tried it, but I imagine it would work)
Then, cut out your images using a knife. I tried with a scissor first, but the lightweight wood ended up splitting.
Once cut, you could easily color them with a marker (see below)- but for this project, I preferred the natural wood.
Now that you have your wood embellishments, you can add them to any project you'd like! Here's my card, using "Large Polka Dot Background" and "Just a Note."
