Rain or Shine

Hi everyone. Vera' s here. I have a fun & sweet card to share with you today. I'll be showing you a simple paper piecing and how to get more mileage out of your sentiment stamp.

Let' s get started, shall we. Today, I want to focus on Rain Boot Stamps set.

                                                       Rain Boots Stamp Set

And, here's a look at my card.

Supply list:
Cardstock: (White) Office Max, (aqua) The Paper Studio
Stamp; SP & Company Rain Boots Stamp Set
Patterned paper: (Candy Shoppe Watermelon Large Dots, Sunshine) Echo Park
(Scallop border punch) Stampin' Up!
Glue pen
Fine glitters

Usually my design style tend to be clean and simple. But, for this card, I decided to do quite a few layering. First you want to cut a panel and adhere it to the card base. Then add a strip of border.

Next, stamp the rain boots on a piece of patterned paper and fussy cut the image. Color the soles part with Copic marker. Afterward, I place the cut out boot on a piece of cardstock to kind of figure out how big I need to cut the panel. Once I make sure the image will fit the panel, I cut 2 panels and layer them. Then punch one of the edge with scallop border punch and adhere to card.

Attached the boot with pop-dots. Now, as you can see on the set image above, the sentiment I used come as one long line, but on my card I made it into 2 line. Now, there are 3 ways to do this. One, you can cut the sentiment in 2. Me, personally, a bit particular about my stamps. I don't like cutting them. Second, you can use stamp marker and color the sentiment one part at a time.

On this card, I did the 3rd method. Which is partial stamping using the ink pad. I stamped the word "I'm With You" first, clean the stamp, then ink the "Rain or Shine". By using either of the method, you can get more out of you sentiment stamp to fit your project needs.

Finally, to finish the card, I stamped the heart, cover it with fine tip glue pen, and sprinkle it with glitters. And, that's it!

I hope today's card can help you get the most out of your sentiment stamps. Thank you all so much for stopping by here. :)
